Whoa....It's been a strange little while here in O-town. I'm pretty much exhausted all the time due to working every night, giving people food and attending to their food needs. Ugh. I smell like food all the time now. I'm sure its suits some people, but what can I say, it's just not my thing? Today I watched some crazy and fucked up dudes kill some random innocent people at a college in downtown Montreal. Yup. Kinda got me really worried about moving there, but then again, this shit happens everywhere these days. I can almost clearly see the day it becomes super uncool to have not had a shooting in your school! Ugh. Jeebus. It used to just be stupid Americans, now its the stupid French Canadians, and that's not even easy to say. Say it-Stupid French Canadians! Ha.
I'm also experiencing pangs of not wanting to leave Ottawa-they are random pangs, small in nature, non-threatning of course, but they exist, and I've acknowledged them. It's just cos I've met some rad people here, yes you know who you are, and well, it's just a shame to not have the opportunity to explore my friendships...Oh well I guess huh? Maybe I can do that on weekends, come back and hang out with people? :( I'd like to say thank you to Kelly for being my only friend here when I arrived and helping me meet new people and for playing Cupid and finding bobby for me:) teee. And for just being a very radical lady and one who makes supper for her friends and lets them take up home on her futon. I also want to thank my new friend Alex for showing me the wonderful world of caturdays, vans, dreads, band dudes, babylon, Arnie impersonations, and for pretty much being my Ottawa tour guide. Also, he gives rad hugs, if his dreads don't get to you first! In other news, my sister and mark, her husband, the Newlyweds, just moved here and into our home 4 days ago. They, I think, will like it here a lot. But can you imagine the level of insanity at this house? Pffffff I bet you can't! Geeeeeeeeeeezus. Soon, I shall be free of it all! Muahhahaahhaha. Erm....
So here's what's going to happen:
So, till I write again, I bid you all Adieu.
I've been teaching myself how to skate. Yes, I said stake. I'm not bad, I can pretty much ride the board okay-ish.....so I decided, seeing as the best way to learn is practice, to skate to the bus stop, which is a 10 min walk normally, and then from the bus stop by work, to work. It went ok, both ways....I mean sure, I looked retarded, cant turn and stuff and cant go over cracks very well, but at least I was doing it!
It's been a while, and I've come to the conclusion that Ottawa just ain't my cup of tea. Really. I think it's like Victoria, where people go to retire or live very boring lives....or maybe that's cos I'm being very pessimistic. Either way, I'm trying very hard to relocate to Montreal. I just absolutely love it there, just came back from a 2 day spur of the moment sort of trip. It's just got the greatest charm-even pizza tastes better there.
So I'm here. Finally. I was thrown into working at the Bluesfest for my dad, serving people butter chicken and samosas, then coming home smelling like the food I'd served all day. Ugh. It was okay though, I mean it's money and the festival is finally over so yay!
Me having what should ahve been an ice cappuccino, but clearly is just some watered down coffee with some foam....pffff! I thought the french were supposed to be the "all knowing" coffee people!! pfff
Me wearing a feathered headband infront of The Virgin MAry herself! eeeeep. She thinks its purty though.
Kiley and i eating ice cream with the raddest sprinkles ever! Go sucre!
The Ca and the love of her life-Taro.
kiley with a frame, sitting next to a big samich.
celery juice! i got to witness its sweet goodness!
Me at this awesome building with colourful glass exterior.
Jean-Paul Riopelle park. Every hour fog rises from littel vents and fire appears in a circle around the sculpture in the water! wow!
Ca on train to Montreal.
Me at this humungous 3 story bar/food place open 24 hours.
Kiley and Ca at same place, opposite me...kiley is, at this point, happily drunk.
Ca on train again, sleeping in podular form.
So I wrote this blog and then hit spell check and it vanished! GARGHHHHH! That's why I hate Pc's! They just suck no matter what! In any case, it was reallllly warm outside and I got stuck downtown because the Toronto Transit System was on strike. Yah! I know! Insane. It worked out pretty good though because Jason and I went for a walk to the park! weeeeeeeeee!
It was so warm outside we both felt like we were going to die or pass out! Then Jason attempted to tan. After upsetting some ants and getting bitten, he returned to our bench from his "tanning spot". Bwahahah. Then we went and got a pint and felt a whole lot better. Aah! To live the life of a Pia. Squirrels were seen. Shoop Shoop Shoop. I'm still radiating heat I'd absorbed during the day! ugh.
The night before, we attended this weird Kickball game we thought would be real fun but ended up being a bunch of losers in costumes picking people to be on their teams! Yah, grown adults...or so they seemed. Sheesh! So we went and got a pitcher instead. I love how beer can remedy any situation. ha!

Everyone, meet Jason. That's his best friend Vino, aka wine. Vino and I go way back as well. Maybe that's why all three of us get along so well. Ah Vino! Ma boisson de joie! It's funny how he's always around when no one else is, and how he's always there to provide comfort. My one true love.
So, I guess the Oilers won...again! woo. That's all i will say about it, although I didn't get to watch the game tonight (which is probably a good thing), because I've been studying for my citizenship test tomorrow! eeeeeek! I'm a bit nervous but when you think about how some people can live here and not speak English and STILL become a citizen by passing this test, you don't get so worried anymore.
We went for sushi last night. We being Jason and I. I had the Vegetarian kind, that consisted of avocado, cucumber and pickled raddish. yum! Jason had an assortment of four different kinds...one of which was eel. eeeeek!
It's the hardest thing, letting go.
I find myself missing everyone tonight. Myspace makes it worse because you keep looking at all the pictures on everyones profiles and remembering the fun and not so fun times. I really do miss my friends-everyone has flaws but they were and still are grand. Its just, when you're not around, you miss so much and then its not the same. Theres no continuation of the history, just old stories.
